Como llegar a La India Dormida
There are several access points to the Sleeping Indian Girl mountain. Take Central Avenue through the town, passing the market and the church. After the small bridge ("El Cruce"), take the second left, where the sign indicates "La India Dormida". The access point that is recommended for most people is through the path to the Petroglyphs. A small admission fee is charged to access the Petroglyphs, which are at the base of the Sleeping Indian Girl, at "her hair". On this path you will find several beautiful waterfalls, including The Hidden Falls, The Lovers Falls, The Frog Leap Falls and more. Once you arrive to the peak, you will have an excellent view of the Valley, and you will be able to continue walking along her brown, her nose, her chin, her neck, her breast and so on. There is a cave at her navel.Another access point is directly beneath the navel. If you plan to go directly to the cave, choose this path. For the first 30 minutes, you will walk through the forest, and for the second half of the climb, you will walk on grass, volcanic stones and a dirt path, under the sun or the stars as the case may be.
